Glad I watched Gila before listening to the interview or I would have been spoiled by the demise of the "giant" lizard monster
It wasn't a bad movie and when you come to think of it not that much different from The Blob in basics just that the budgets for the two movies were worlds apart (in old money
).
Don's interview was far more enjoyable after watching the movie and while it seems he got the raw end of many a situation it's good to hear him talking with fondness about his stint on the silver screen and the joys that a life after the movies provided.

Glad you liked it! Any B-Movie fan has to have The Monster of Piedras Blancas (1959)
and Teenage Zombies and The Gila Monster in his collection. Teenage Zombies is in public domain go watch a 24hr movie.
